Introduction
Situated in 4 acres of wooded grounds and set in the heart of West Lancashire. Originally an 18th Century Manor House, Briars Hall has been lovingly restored and converted into a first class family run hotel. Briars Hall has built an excellent reputation as a venue for that extra special occasion; and your wedding being that extra special occasion both to you and us. The beautiful grounds provide and ideal setting for your entire wedding photographs.
Our team of wedding co-ordinators have many years experience, and are here to help you when you are planning for your reception. We believe that planning your wedding should be a pleasure and will be here every step of the way. With our in-house Wedding Suite we are able to provide you direct with everything from your wedding stationery, wedding cake, favours and balloons to tiara’s and a DJ. Have your bridal make-up professionally applied at our in-house Beauty Barn. Relax in one of our hotel bedrooms before enjoying a beautiful civil ceremony or heading of to the church before retuning for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Banqueting Suite
Our Banqueting Suite can seat up to 160 guests for formal dinners and up to 200 Buffet Style. The suite overlooks pleasant gardens and is the perfect setting for your wedding reception.
Stones Restaurant
Stones Restaurant is the ideal setting for the intimate wedding breakfast of up to 60 formal dining and 140 buffet style. Our charming restaurant with its oak beams and conservatory overlooks the splendid waterfall pond and is a perfect setting for that very special day.
The Orangery
Wedding Services may be conducted in our newly built, beautiful south facing Orangery
Civil ceremonies may also take place in the delightful Stones Restaurant. Numbers depend on seating arrangements

Directions by road
Briars Hall is located in the beautiful West Lancashire countryside, just off the A59 Ormskirk to Preston road. Just 4 miles from Ormskirk, we are convenient for the M6 motorway, Preston & Liverpool. The Trans-Pennine M62 is within easy reach via the M6, M65 or M57.
Directions by rail
Rail links are available either from Preston or Ormskirk. Connecting trains to Burscough are also available.
Local places of interest
Briars Hall is approx. 11 miles from the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Southport, which hosts a number of attractions and entertainment not to mention the annual Southport Flower Show and Air Show. A little further up the coast you will find the Royal Birkdale Golf Course and Formby Beach. Or why not take a trip to Liverpool – European Capital of Culture for 2008 and visit the Albert Dock, one of the 2 Cathedrals or the Beatle’s Museum?
